2011 was a momentous year for me. I left work, and for half a year, and proceeded to visit friends around the world one by one. There was no rush, no compulsion to be anywhere at a particular time. If I liked a place, I stayed. If I didn’t, I left. I tried to spend at least a week in most places. It all started in Melbourne, Australia, then moved me accross the country, through into Asia, around Europe, and finished in the awesome overland road journey that is the Mongol Rally. There were some beatiful moments, and some beautiful sights that I’d like to share with you in two posts.
Without further ado, here’s my year in photos for 2011, part 1: January to April.
January: Beach near Augusta, South West Australia
April: Dinner in Singapore
April: Outside a cafe in Hanoi, Vietnam
April: Floating village, Ha Long bay, Vietnam
April: Sapa rice terraces, northern Vietnam
April: Stone forest, Yunnan, China
That wraps up the year till April – soon, it’s on to part two and Europe…

Gorgeous pics Marcin! That stone forest is amazing – what a contrast!
